Gayatri Mantra Series :- (Durga Gayatri)

  1. Mala:- Red sandalwood / Rudraksha
  2. Color of garland:- Red
  3. Posture:- Blanket / or any fabric that does not conduct heat
  4. Seat color:- red
  5. Chanting Timings:- Three evenings are prescribed for ordinary seekers, in which the first (from 4:00 am to 07:30 and ) the second sandhya (from 11:00 in the morning and the afternoon to 1:30 in the afternoon), the third evening (04 in the evening): from 30 to 07:30)
  6. Chanting Number:- 3 Lakhs
  7. Minimum chanting number:- 3 rounds per day
  8. Day to start chanting:- Any Lagna period or Monday or Friday
  9. Facing Direction:- East or North

Gayatri Mantra Method

  1. Garland:- Tulsi / Sandalwood
  2. Mala Colour:- White
  3. Asana:- Sukhasana
  4. Colour of the seat:- White but such that it is a poor conductor of heat (such as silk/blanket/kush grass/as per availability
  5. Chanting Timings:- Three evenings are prescribed for ordinary seekers, in which the first (from 4:00 am to 07:30 and ) the second sandhya (from 11:00 in the morning and the afternoon to 1:30 in the afternoon), the third evening (04 in the evening): from 30 to 07:30)
  6. Chanting Number:- 3 Lakhs
  7. Minimum chanting number:- 3 rounds per day
  8. Day to start chanting:- Any Lagna period or Monday, Friday, or Sunday
  9. Direction of the face:- East in the morning and West in the evening

  • Bhur = One who gives life to man
  • Bhuvah = Destroyer of sorrows
  • Svah = The giver of happiness
  • Tat = That
  • Savitur = Bright as the sun
  • Varenyam = Best
  • Bhargo = Savior of deeds
  • Devasya = Lord
  • Dheemah = Capable of self-contemplation
  • Dhio = Intellect
  • Yo = Who
  • Nah = Our
  • Prachodayat = Give us strength
